I use these skates to cross train on days when I am not cycling. I chose these particular skates because I wanted the speed and increased resistance of the larger wheels, but I liked the idea of the smaller 90mm wheels in the front for increased maneuverability. In hindsight, I would have liked a skate with straight 100mm or 110mm wheels because for long straight fitness runs, there is little need for increased agility, and the increased stability at high speed would be nice. Overall, the boot has the right combination of comfort and support for long skates, right out of the box. I like that they don't have the support you'd find in a recreational skate, and I've noticed increased angle and foot strength since I've been using them. I would recommend these skates to anyone who is interested in fitness and speed with a little more maneuverability and ease to get going than straight 100-110mm wheels would provide. If you want more speed and don't mind a slower (and more difficult) push-off at slow speeds, then I'd recommend going with a skate that has straight 100-110mm wheels.

Nice build and quality, very fast skate.
They chew up my feet a bit more than I'd like, (old Salomon skates NEVER had a hot spot or a blister).
I've skated on them 5 times and just about killed the brake pad.
