The V-cut liner is removable and specializes in a five star fit each time that they are used. The Hot Rod Aluminum frame is 243mm with racing axles, even though lightweight this frame is stiff, making it more efficient and durable. Initially I bought the K2 Alexis Boa. Nice soft boot, unique and easy entry and exit, size 84 wheels, sg9 bearings, but I didn't want to go just relatively straight and fast. I ordered size 8.5, my dress shoe size, and they fit perfectly.
Next I ordered the Rollerblade Twister 80, size 80 wheels, sg7 bearings, hardboot. 8.5 was too small. I felt pressure points in the front of the toe and on the inside ankle where there is a bolt on the outside of the boot.
Size 9, equivalent to my running shoe size, was perfect in RB Twister 80. My first ride of the year was 45 mins on city streets, up and down hill. I felt a blister (where the bolt is, inside ankle) halfway out.
Will invest in suitable socks and maybe mole skin.
The skates were sufficiently fast and smooth, and I can do turns and dink around in a parking lot if I want too.
These are very stable skates. The bearing is better than the RB Spark 80 which are sg5. Sg7 is good not great, but certainly seem good enough for me: fit, didn't want too much drag. Sg9 is high performance.
Just watch the sizing, and the inside bolt!
